A frozen block of ice

By Jada Jinks

A frozen block of ice

Weighing upon my chest

Memories of you beside me

I look upon with dread

Lay me down my lover and

Explain to me again

Why the love we had for each other

Always ends all in red

Frozen shards of ice

Piercing through my throat

I’m barely alive

Starting to choke!

But you don’t care

I’m dead to you

Everything we were, marked by despair A massacre made for two
