On Monday, the University at Albany announced its partnership with ESPN Radio 104.5 FM The Team along with City Line Bar & Grill.
Every Monday, from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 pm, men and women’s head coaches Dwayne Killings and Colleen Mullen, along with select student-athletes, will hop on the radio show live from City Line Bar & Grill. The segment will be called ‘Drive the Lane with UAlbany Hoops’. They’ll be hosted by ESPN Radio 104.5 FM The Team’s Charlie Voelker and Dan Bahl, where athletes and coaches will talk about the upcoming season and give UAlbany fan’s the opportunity to get to know the team.
City Line Bar & Grill will provide UAlbany fans with specials on food and drinks starting this Monday, Nov. 1.
“This is a great way for the Capital Region to get an inside look at our programs,” said Killings when asked about the partnership. “Not only will fans get a new and unique perspective, but it also provides an opportunity for myself and my staff to meet and get to know some of the dedicated Great Dane fans in person at an amazing venue." Killings expressed excitement about meeting the fans, eager to show how much the community and fanbase mean to his team.
Coach Mullen was also enthusiastic about the agreement. “Coach Killings and I are excited to share our enthusiasm for UAlbany Basketball and provide the community a deeper, behind-the-scenes view of our programs,” said Mullen. “I know our student-athletes will be excited to participate in the show and share their experiences with the Capital Region."
The UAlbany fanbase is very excited for this upcoming season as the new regime takes over following Will Brown’s departure. As both basketball programs look to get back on track after a COVID year, this partnership will be a great way for fans to stay engaged throughout the whole season.
City Line Bar & Grill is located at 1200 Western Ave, Albany, NY 12203 if you’re interested in supporting your Great Danes.
