College of St. Rose alum Jimmy Fallon was spotted partying with students at a University at Albany tradition on March 9 for St. Patrick’s Day. “Kegs and Eggs” is a day of partying for students decked out in green to migrate to downtown Albany for dancing and shenanigans.

It historically took place around the weekend closest to St. Patrick’s Day, but 2011’s celebration saw property damage and multiple arrests, prompting UAlbany to make its spring break a week earlier. This year “The Tonight Show” host made an appearance among the throngs of students.

Fallon was in the Albany area making surprise appearances at two comedy shows. He did sets at Nate Bargatze’s show in Albany which took place at the MVP Arena and Bargatze’s show in Saratoga as well.

Fallon said on the Tonight Show, “I crashed a frat party.”  He continued, “It was eggs and kegs. Is that a thing? I don’t know what that is but I went in there and I walked in, I was like, ‘Hey guys, what’s up?’ And they’re like, ‘Are you gonna come to our party?’ I go, ‘Yeah, I’ll come in. I’ll just check in, check it out.’ They were so nice. Very polite. Thank you whatever frat that was.”

Students were shocked by Fallon’s appearance on Hudson Street. One student said, “I just remember getting to [the frat party] and hearing everyone shout ‘Jimmy Fallon’ and I thought why are people shouting Jimmy Fallon and then I actually saw Jimmy Fallon and I was like, ‘Oh my god.’”
