Beagle entered the NCAA transfer portal on March 19, his second time doing so in two years. He first entered the portal at the end of the 2022-23 season before deciding to return to the Great Danes for his sophomore year.

The 6-foot-10 sophomore stepped away from the team for personal reasons after he exited a road game against Vermont on Feb. 1 just eight minutes in, and was not seen on the bench in the second half.

He did not return to the team for the remainder of the season, which saw UAlbany finish with a 13-19 overall record and a 5-11 record in America East play, culminating in a first round loss to the Catamounts in the conference tournament.

Beagle averaged 12.4 points and 8.3 rebounds in 53 games across his two seasons with the Great Danes. His freshman year saw him win several honors, including America East Rookie of the Year and nine America East Rookie of the Week awards.

Beagle is joining a Richmond team that finished with an overall record of 23-10 and a conference record of 15-3, which was good enough for first place in the Atlantic 10 Conference. The Spiders went on to lose in the first round of their conference tournament to Saint Joseph’s, which was followed by another loss in the first round of the National Invitation Tournament to Virginia Tech.
