Valentine’s Day can seem depressing for those of us without someone to celebrate with, but you do not need to be in a relationship to have fun! Galentine’s Day is a great way to show some love to your besties. Here are some ways to celebrate!

Go out to dinner: Just because you do not have a date does not mean you cannot go out to a fancy restaurant. Dress up with your friends, and go out to a nice fancy dinner. Take the time to get ready with your friends, take photos, and treat yourself!

Have a self care night: Go to Target and pick up some face masks, nail polish, drinks, and snacks. Spend a night pampering yourself with your friends and having fun.

Do arts and crafts: This can be as extravagant as going to a pottery place, like the Pottery Place and making pottery with your friends, or as simple as getting some coloring books and colored pencils. Pinterest has a ton of ideas of crafts you and your friends can do together to celebrate Valentine’s.

Have a powerpoint night: Have everyone in your friend group make either a Google Slides or Canva presentation and everyone can present it on Valentine’s. The topics can be anything, you can do simple life updates or pick obscure topics based on your interest. You can talk about what you do for work, or your favorite conspiracy theory.

Have a board night: Charcuterie boards have been an ongoing trend. If you're hosting a Galentine’s party, instead of buying food for everyone, have everyone bring a different board. Some examples of boards could be a Chick-fil-A board for dinner and a smores board for dessert.

Play games: Everyone loves a good board game. Pull out the Twister, Candyland, and any other board games you have. Playing games is a fun and competitive way to spend the evening with your friends.

Have a dance party: If you’re still feeling sad and lonely about not having a valentine this year, the best way to deal with this is to dance it out! Put on your favorite music and dance it out with your friends.

Exchange valentines: Make some cards or buy some at Walmart, exchange cheap chocolate with your friends. Everyone can make Valentine's day mailboxes and you can exchange cards and candy within your friend group. This is a great way to feel the love of everyone in your friend group!

You do not have to be in a relationship to have fun this Valentine’s Day. Take the time to spend it with friends and feel the love from everyone else in your life.
