The Great Danes had a record weekend at two invitationals in Boston with both the men’s and women's 60m dash school records broken.

On the women’s side at Friday’s Crimson Elite Invitational, Dominique Clark ran a personal best of 7.38 seconds to break the previous program record.

In the 200-meter dash, UAlbany had two top-10 finishers. Rori Lowe placed 4th out of 76 running it in 24.31 seconds, followed by Jazmen Newberry in 24.70 seconds.

Over in field events, Senior Ludith Campos placed first in the weight throw with a 19.48m toss. In the shot put, Shelby Bigsby came in second with a 13.60m throw.

Efe Omokeni placed first with 5.61m and Jade Foster in third with a 5.49m in the long jump on Saturday at the Scarlet White Invitational

For men’s track at the Crimson Elite Invitational, Travis Williams, a sophomore, earned a new personal-best and school record. In the 60m he ran a 6.64, taking down the previous school record of 6.67.

In the 60m dash, Lucas Casab placed 14th in the qualifying division with a 6.93 at Saturday’s Crimson Elite Invitational.

Ja’lil Reynolds was named among UAlbany’s Athletes of the Week for the week of Feb. 2. The high-jumper was the only one of the Great Danes to emerge victorious at the Utica University Blue and Orange Invitational with a personal best by almost three inches, with a mark of 6-09.00. Reynolds leads the America East in men’s high jump and is tied for 10th in UAlbany’s program history.

On Thursday, Feb. 9, three women from the team will take their shot in the weight throw at the Millrose Games at The Armory in New York City. Following this, America East Indoor Championships begin on Feb. 18.
